Biography[]


Silence, solitude, and a visage resembling a corpse. Within his massive frame, chaotic power surges with manic intensity...
Ymir, a moniker given by another to his form - the form of a chaos vessel.
Yet, including Ymir himself, all have gradually forgotten his ancient race, once bestowed with an aura of supreme glory.
Protecting the "portal" is a duty branded deep within his blood; his true name is - Gatekeeper Fraxinus.

"Commander, before my consciousness is swallowed by Chaos and madness, please execute me."


Before the myriad portals were tainted by Chaos, Fraxinus and his kin spent long years as Gatekeepers. He watched over everything in Gelpais beyond the portal with a kind and tranquil gaze - until Chaos swept through all the portals in the land.
As Gatekeepers fell one by one, he bore the heavy responsibility of protecting the last portal. In the end, he chose to exhaust all his energy to close the portal, keeping Chaos at bay beyond it. He and his sister Elisse were then separated in the Gelpais they had watched over.


As time passed, the Gatekeeper's power began to wane, and Fraxinus, on the path of a lone wanderer, realized his memories were blurring. Yet, the will etched in his heart wouldn't allow him to overlook any injustice or sin.
Nolan, Farah, Tsuruno... He desperately hoped to find the road home before completely forgetting who he was. However, when Fraxinus encountered the king named Leo Beck in Ranchi, the cycle of light and darkness came to an abrupt halt.

"The absurd act of trying to alter the fate of the innocent... must be put to an end!"


To save the children who endured despair in the Garden of Eternal Life, he made a deal with the ruler of Ranchi, offering himself as a vessel to bear the chaotic infestation in their stead. From that moment on, the radiant Gatekeeper Fraxinus was no more, leaving behind only an unyielding fighter - Ymir - who resists the power of Chaos.

"To truly master this cursed power of madness, I need these shackles... They keep me in the light."


Chaos cannot erode his will, and despair only makes his faith firmer.
Facing the ravages of chaotic will, even having lost everything as a Gatekeeper, he has now rediscovered the meaning of guardianship.
Memories of the past, wretchedness, redemption - all he has seen has been channeled into his shackles, bursting forth with infinite power, charging toward the all-consuming prison of sin. This time, he will cross the boundary between light and dark to gain the power to protect all.

"As long as the flame of belief remains unextinguished in our hearts, even amidst the ruins left by Chaos's destruction time and again, we will eventually see the sprouts of new life."
