Biography[]


Stun Caliber is his weapon, and his blue-streaked black hair is his trademark. Van Arkride, the head of Arkride Solutions Office, a Spriggan office located in the slums of Edith, the capital of Calvard, is a man of reputation in both the surface world and the underground.

"I don't know through which channel you found me and my Spriggan office, but I'll hear out your commission."


Although Van seems like a business-focused realist, he does have his own distinct code of conduct. Due to his reliable network and excellent efficiency, he is rated as an S-tier Dangerous Individual. However, behind his calculating, profit-driven mindset lies a strong and gentle heart. That's why he will always see a commission through to the end, even though he'll sometimes complain that the job isn't really worth it.

"The base cost of a commission is 1,000 Mira per hour for time-based jobs... Oh, but that will have to be converted to the local currency."


Crafting divine desserts, fixing Orbment vehicles, visiting the sauna... When not at work, Van busies himself with his various hobbies. He also has a past full of secrets that he chooses to keep from everyone around him.
Van, who grew up in Arkride Orphanage, has known the Bracer Elaine since they were children, but due to Elaine's father's intervention, he was kidnapped by the D∴G Cult and subjected to horrible experiments that attempted to extract the "Hollow Core" from his body. After being rescued, Van was reunited with Elaine, and they became lovers. But his mental instability became too much, and in the end he chose to leave without saying goodbye...


After studying Kunlun martial arts under his master, at the age of 19, Van returned to the capital to run his own firm. While carrying out a commission from Agnes to find eight lost Orbment prototypes, Van gained the ability to transform into Grendel, greatly enhancing his strength in battle.
