Biography[]


The Gresden Empire started a war which led to turmoil between the various factions on the continent. It was this chaos that allowed Licorice to reunite with her brother, Ares.
While journeying with her brother to defeat the false emperor Autokrato IV, Licorice awakened Bozel within her through contact with Alhazard. Though Bozel was no match for the power of Langrisser, the seed of darkness had already sprouted within Licorice.

"My brother... has fought bravely to restore the Gresden Empire and suppress the chaos inside me. But when will this shadow, the Mark of Bozel disappear..."


After Ares re-ascended the throne of the Gresden Empire, Licorice lived a life of peace and quiet alongside her brother. However, Licorice became frustrated at the constant friction and animosity between the Demons and humans as she desired to promote coexistence between the two races. And when a Demon attack threatened the Elysium Project which intended to save the entire continent, Licorice became deeply lost at heart.


With the Legion of Darkness following Bozel's plot, Licorice faced more and more accusations from the humans. Dealing with the betrayal of the Demons, the dark power began to grow inside Licorice. She could only retain her sense of self by remaining in the company of her few remaining close friends.

"No... Can I really resist this? If falling into darkness is my destined path, like water flowing towards me... What can I do to stop it?"


The dark power continued to take over, and the shadow of an impending disaster on the continent loomed larger. Although the ark of salvation had been successfully built, the choices that Licorice's friends made for the greater good made her feel a great loneliness, and the darkness inside her intensified. But just as Bozel was about to take over...
Licorice, who was about to give in, confronted Bozel. Heeding the calls of her friends, Licorice learned to face the dark power within her and managed to crush Bozel's plot.


The ark that carried the continent's last hope set sail, and Licorice, after boarding it, became the Ark Saintess who wields both the power of light and darkness.
Faced with an unknown future and the perils that lie ahead on the ark's voyage, Licorice has resolved to fight for her brother's ideals, fight for the happiness of the Elisian people, and bravely walk her own path!
