Biography[]
A young Dragonmaster girl with the power to command Dragons, born in the mysterious kingdom of Dragonia - long ago destroyed by the Imperial Army. Introverted and timid, she often hides herself from fear of interacting with strangers. Having suffered the pain of losing her family, she is very possessive of the people close to her.
"You want to control Renata? The Dragonmasters are not to be ordered around by humans."
Being the youngest in her family and also somewhat late to mature, the family always treated Renata with care as a "not-so-bright child". Although she has never been good at expressing her feelings, Renata quietly hoped that, one day, she too could shoulder the responsibility of protecting her family. But this hope vanished with the invasion of the Imperial Army. Her family died to protect Dragonia... Alone in the world of humans, Renata retained the hope of one day restoring her country in order to bring glory to the fallen. Until this time, she had never imagined the loneliness and despair of shouldering such responsibility.
"When my parents died, they told me never to forget my duty to restore our country. But building a Dragonia where I am the only inhabitant... Is there any meaning to that?"
The Greathoof Tribe Sisters Polyal and Rona rescue Renata from the verge of death. By treating her like family, they help Renata to move on from the pain and despair of losing her loved ones. Renata silently vows to protect her benefactors, and holds herself to the standard that "Polyal and Rona's family is Renata's family".
"Can I introduce you to my friends Polyal and Rona? I promised myself that if I met someone I liked, I would take good care of them..."
Through her connection to Polyal and Rona, Renata crosses paths with Licorice, who is Bozel, and thereby meets Licorice's brother Ares and his all-capable maid Maiya. With Ares's help, Renata gradually lets go of her hatred toward humans and makes more friends.
"I joined the Army of Darkness because my friends are there. Renata exists for her friends."
Summoned to a new world and in search of a livelihood that suits her, with Maiya's help, Renata becomes a trainee maid at the Epic Eatery. Inside a wine-induced dream, she forms an unexpected bond of friendship with Aka... And so Renata begins her adventure in a new world...
