Biography[]


In Ranchi, which lies deep in a noxious forest in the darkest corner of Gelpais, a pale young man on a throne of pure gold looks down over all that he has. His name is Leo Beck XXVII, and he is the supreme ruler and slave master of the land of Ranchi.

"I am the one true king of the Golden Throne, the symbol of Ranchi's eternality. You must be honored to serve me, so please show a befitting smile."


The ancestor of Leo Beck chose to strike a deal with Chaos when he was on the cusp of death. In exchange for his unwillingness and despair, he obtained the Necromancy Power. It was with this forbidden art that he and the humans drove the Dark Elves underground, turning them into Night Elves.
In the centuries since, the Leo Beck family have ruled over Ranchi unchallenged.
This strange and powerful ability, in the hands of the present-day Leo Beck XXVII, seems to have the power even to trick time itself. In the decades since his succession, he has maintained the appearance of a young man. It is as if he is immortal.
No one knows the truth behind this power, but all the people of Ranchi know well the cruelty and madness of the mind that lies behind that innocent smile.


Twenty years ago, Leo Beck XXVII, after inheriting the throne, was quickly getting bored with the nobles and slaves who prostrated themselves before the golden throne. Then, one day, visitors from another spacetime arrived at his palace.
The guests left the young Ranchi monarch with three gifts - a deadly sword wound, a body that cannot decay, and the truth about the source of Gelpais' Mana.

"Broken, repaired, reborn... This power from death is a curse and a gift..."


With the arrival of the outsiders, Leo Beck finally understood that the Necromantic power that his family had relied on came from the very Mana under the land. Looking at himself, turned into a corpse slave, Leo Beck developed a twisted desire for true supreme power over the world.
As if wanting to prove himself as an unrivaled king, Leo Beck helped Elysium harvest the Mana in Gelpais while spreading his creeping shadow of death to all corners of the continent, becoming a nightmare truly feared by all.

"Too much madness will eventually turn you into a corpse slave. Too much reason will turn you into food. You must know when to press and when to retreat if you wish to enjoy a long reign like the family of Leo Beck."


However, spilling the blood of innocents and the power gained in return only pushed the tyrant deeper and deeper into the abyss of madness. When he was once again introduced to true death by these foreigners, he realized that his life had been so illusory and pathetic...
