Title Screen from Saturn Release

Langrisser V: The End of Legend is a sequel to Langrisser IV and the final game in the mainline Langrisser series. It was released for the Sega Saturn in 1998 and the original PlayStation in 1999. It was never released outside of Japan.

Story[]

The story begins in the underground cloning facility of Gizarof's laboratory after the events of Langrisser IV. A "clone", Sigma Σ-066, awakens during an attack by the Crimzonian Knights, but his programming sequence is interrupted and he never receives his "orders" from Gizarof. Sigma Σ-066 flees the facility with his fellow "clone," Lambda Δ-052, while Omega Ω-133 remains behind to be defeated by the Crimzonian prince.

As their master Gizarof is killed by Landius, the clones are left without purpose - a situation that changes when they encounter Jessica on her way back to El Sallia. A complicated plot draws the two into the story of Langrisser and the Yggdrasil. The Crimzonians need Alhazard to power their ship to return home, while a new leader rises up within the ranks of the demons, plotting to gain Alhazard to become a dark god himself.
