Langrisser I is a tactical role-playing game (RPG) developed by Masaya Games and originally released in Japan for the Sega Mega Drive in 1991. It was also released in North America for the Sega Genesis under the title Warsong.

Plot[]

The story of Langrisser I is set in the fantasy world of El Sallia, a land threatened by war and chaos. At the heart of the conflict is a powerful, holy sword known as Langrisser. The game's protagonist, Prince Ledin of the Kingdom of Baldea, embarks on a quest to recover the sacred sword after his kingdom is invaded by the evil forces of the Dalsis Empire, led by the nefarious Emperor Bozel. Bozel is aligned with the forces of darkness, seeking to obtain Langrisser for his own diabolical ends.

Ledin's journey takes him across diverse landscapes as he recruits allies, battles enemies, and uncovers the secrets of the ancient sword. As the chosen one to wield Langrisser, he must face not only the armies of Dalsis but also internal political strife and the threat of the Chaos that Bozel represents.
