After reaching level 55, the Casting menu can be accessed through a hero's Equipment menu, although it has little to do with equipment. Casting allows you to increase a hero's stats by flat values using materials gained from the Way of the Laws stages. Each hero has a casting level from 1-10 for each of the four equipment types. A Casting Skill is unlocked for a hero when all equipment levels reach level 5, the hero reaches 6-stars, and you have obtained the hero's Exclusive Equipment if available.
The tables below show the cost of upgrading a hero's casting levels. Some heroes have two sets of weapon levels - the costs for upgrading and the stats gained for each of these weapon levels is 50% of the amount below so they end up costing the same amount and giving the same bonuses as heroes who have one weapon casting when both weapons' casting levels are at the same level. Whether the offensive stat bonus is ATK or INT depends on the hero's dominant stat. Heroes who use both ATK and INT like Aka, Gerold & Layla and Clotaire will get bonuses to both stats.
Casting Levels 1 to 5[]
These levels require specific materials that match the type of the hero's weapon(s), armor and helmet gained from specific Way of the Laws stages. Accessory upgrade materials drop randomly from all Way of the Laws stages, but at a lower rate than the others so these materials need to be used strategically.

Casting Levels 6 to 10[]
These levels require the same materials for all equipment types - Glorious Casting Pattern: Enlightenment (Blue), Daybreak (Purple), and Luminosity (Red). The rarest (Red) Glorious Casting Pattern: Luminosity materials drop very infrequently from the highest Way of the Laws stages so they need to be used strategically.
